Ducks In My Pool, is about a family of ducks who chose our backyard as a safe place to build their nest. For over ten years ducklings have hatched and swam in our pool. I realized God gave me a metaphor through the ducks to show His love and safety as I trust in Him.
As the light reflects ice crystals in the sun, leaves shimmer and red blossoms freeze in time.
Only in Texas would Red Oak Trees freeze with autumn colors of orange, red and yellow. The tree was planted the year Alex was born in 1990. As I gaze out my window to see the tree it reminds me of how sturdy and strong he has become. The trunk is straight and tall, reaching for the light. The branches flow like an umbrella protecting the rose bush below.
Ice crystals shimmer on the Live Oak Tree of twisted branches.
Seeds of discouragement will not grow in the thankful heart.
