Dallas Winter Storm

Dallas Winter Storm
As the light reflects ice crystals in the sun, leaves shimmer and red blossoms freeze in time.
Only in Texas would Red Oak Trees freeze with autumn colors of orange, red and yellow.  The tree was planted the year Alex was born in 1990.  As I gaze out my window to see the tree it reminds me of how sturdy and strong he has become.  The trunk is straight and tall, reaching for the light.  The branches flow like an umbrella protecting the rose bush below.
Ice crystals shimmer on the Live Oak Tree of twisted branches.

Seeds of discouragement will not grow in the thankful heart.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

Psalm 100  verse 4
